U4GM Why Forza Horizon 6 Could Have Its Best Car List Yet

No official list is out yet, but that hasn't stopped players from picking apart every rumour and wishlist tied to the next Horizon game. A huge garage is part of the appeal, always has been, and that's why people are already talking about what might make the cut. Some are hoping for more obscure classics, others just want the biggest names back, and plenty are already looking into things like Forza Horizon 6 Boosting while the hype keeps building around what Playground could reveal. What matters most is balance. Horizon works best when the car list doesn't lean too far in one direction, so you can jump from a battered old hatchback to a modern supercar and never feel boxed in.

Why variety still matters

That mix is what gives the series its personality. It's not just about horsepower numbers or flashy badge names. It's about the weird little moments too. Taking a classic Mustang into a race it really shouldn't win. Messing around in a Beetle just because it feels funny on a dirt trail. That sort of thing sticks with people. Sure, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche are almost guaranteed, and they should be. They're part of the furniture at this point. But if the next game wants to feel alive, it needs those everyday favourites as well, the cars people grew up seeing, modifying, or dreaming about when they were skint and learning what they liked.

If Japan is really the setting

This is where things get interesting. If the Japan rumours are true, then expectations for the car roster are going to shoot through the roof. JDM fans won't settle for a token handful of icons. They'll want depth. Not just one Supra, but several generations. Not just a Skyline badge, but the models people actually care about. Same goes for the NSX, RX-7, Silvia, Evo, Impreza, all of it. And honestly, that makes sense. A Japan setting without a properly stacked Japanese lineup would feel off straight away. You can already picture the roads people want to drive, the mountain passes, the city loops, the late-night runs. The cars need to match that mood or the whole thing loses a bit of magic.

More than street cars

Horizon has never been a game that stays neatly on tarmac, so the off-road side can't be treated like an afterthought. There has to be room for rally cars, pickups, buggies, and proper 4x4s that can handle rough ground without feeling useless everywhere else. Subaru and Mitsubishi are obvious picks if rally gets real attention again, and Jeep feels like a safe bet for trail stuff. It also helps when the game throws in a few oddballs. Not every memorable car needs to be expensive or fast. Sometimes it's the one that looks a bit ridiculous but somehow becomes your favourite after an hour of chaos in the hills.

The cars people save for

Then you've got the top-end stuff, the hypercars players grind for once the map opens up and the credits start piling in. Those cars need to feel special, not just faster. Bugatti, McLaren, Pagani, maybe Koenigsegg too, they're all part of that late-game fantasy. But the real hook is what you can do with them after they land in your garage. Tuning, swaps, visual changes, that's where people make the car theirs. Some players chase perfect lap times. Others build something daft just to see if it works. Either way, if the final roster lands with enough range and gives people room to experiment, a lot of fans will be happy, and some will probably even buy Forza Horizon 6 Boosting once they've got their eye on a few dream machines in the lineup.
